Manteno's 2008 Oktoberfest

Vulcan Materials Company Manteno Quarry is proud to serve as the title sponsor of this year's Manteno Oktoberfest. This year's festival runs from September 18 - 21 in downtown Manteno.

Vulcan employees will be on-hand throughout the weekend to help celebrate this annual celebration. In addition, we will have our Kid's Corner Tent and will have plenty of fun activities for the entire family. At this year's Kid's Corner you can:

  • Make your own pet rock
  • Check out our "Extreme Machine" loader
  • Dig for fossils in Manteno's largest sandbox
  • Climb the 24' tall rock wall

    Saturday, September 20
    12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    Sunday, September 21
    12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

    This year, we will be providing free tours of the quarry. Based on feedback from last year's Oktoberfest, we have added an extra day of tours. Please stop by our exhibit area for details.

    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

    Sunday, September 21
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm
