VMC at Bears Training Camp
August 11, 2009 - Vulcan was proud to serve, along with Cigna HealthCare, as co-sponsor of the 2009 Legislator Night at Bears Training Camp. The event, hosted by the Kankakee Regional Chamber of Commerce, featured several lawmakers from all across Illinois.
The event featured a reception at the chamber offices with a buffet-style barbecue dinner, followed by a reception on the sidelines of the Chicago Bears practice field. While at practice, attendees were given a front row performance by Chicago's newest sports hero, quarterback Jay Cutler.
Vulcan's Phil Miller, Doug Lacke and Tim Theobald, plus representatives of several other local businesses, were able to interact with local legislators and given the opportunity to discuss the issues critical to the businesses and communities in the Kankakee County area.
Those attending included Representatives Kevin McCarthy, Monique Davis, Chapin Rose, Chuck Jefferson and Lisa Dugan, along with Senators Ed Maloney, Maggie Crotty, Toi Hutchinson and Michael Frerichs. Bill Houlihan, downstate director for Sen. Dick Durbin, also attended.
