Vulcan Materials Company Manteno Quarry celebrated the fall season by proudly serving as the title sponsor for the 2008 Manteno Oktoberfest! Returning for the 3rd year in a row was Vulcan’s infamous Kids Corner, which included outdoor adventures like digging for fossils in Manteno’s largest sandbox, rock-climbing a 24-foot tall wall and experiencing the "Extreme Machine" loader. Vulcan employees also taught kids how to create and paint their own pet rock while members of the community enjoyed complimentary tours of the Manteno Quarry as part of the exciting festivities.
